Church Cleaning
Volunteers are always required to give a little of their time on a Friday or Saturday morning as members of a small team who clean the church. The more volunteers there are, the less frequently you will have to clean! Please apply to the Parish Office.
Ministry of Welcome
Volunteers are asked to assist in the coffee rota for the Ministry of Welcome which provides tea and coffee in the Monckton Room after 10.00 a.m. and 11.00 a.m. masses each Sunday. Please contact the Parish Office if you are able to help with the preparation and tidy up.
Glass Door (Homeless support in West London churches)
Parishioners assist with providing facilities at the Chelsea Methodist Church on the King’s Road, particularly during the winter months. If you wish to help please contact the Parish Office to be put in touch with the parish representative. Donations are also appreciated
Charitable donations - regular financial support
As a registered charity, The Church of Our Most Holy Redeemer & St. Thomas More relies heavily on donations to support the varied work of the church. As well as paying towards the usual running costs for the church and rectory, donations are made on parishioners behalf to various local and national charities from the Sunday collections. The Sunday offerings also need to cover any maintenance or improvements which the church needs.
It is therefore a considerable help to the parish if we receive regular donations, in addition to or instead of, the offering you make at Sunday mass. There are a number of ways in which you can contribute regularly:
Cheque
Banker’s standing order
Please contact the Parish Office if you wish to set up one of these regular payment options, or download and print the Planned Giving Form below and send to the Rectory.
If you are making or updating your will, please consider leaving a legacy to the church (Gift Aid Scheme not applicable for this).
UK tax payers: in addition, if you are a U.K. tax payer, the church can also reclaim the basic tax rate, adding 20% to your donation. In order to avail of this scheme please complete the Gift Aid Scheme form and return it to the Rectory.
American tax payers: if you pay tax in the USA, you might be interested to know about the American Foundation for Catholics. This has been set up to receive donations of US$250 or more, to make grants available to Catholic parishes (and other Catholic causes) and it enables American taxpayers to make donations that are tax deductible. If you would like to help us to do so please contact Charles Donnington (of the Diocese) on +44 (0)20 7798 9375.
Thank you - The Parish is part of the Westminster Roman Catholic Diocese Trustee Charity No: 233699.
